What would happen when a Salesman, Lingerie model and a Cornish bus driver take on the mammoth challenge of a 10,000 mile journey across the world? In a 1litre, old fiesta, that cost just £360?
Log on to www.penzancepirates.co.uk and see exactly what Paul Brown, Lauren Ridealgh and Robert Eddy are about to do.
Leaving Lands End in Cornwall on July 17th, the trio are aiming to complete the 10,000 mile feat, finishing in Olaan Baatar, the Mongolian capital, in an ambitious 6 weeks.
From the dangerous, mountainous terrain of the Altay in Kazakhstan to the Old silk route of the Gobi desert in Mongolia, this trip is sure to push all three participants to the limits.
Their efforts and struggles however, are for a more than worthy cause...In aid of the Christina Noble Childrens Foundation in Mongolia and the Treslik Sennen Ward.
Our aim is to fund raise in excess of £5000 in total for the charities, this where I hope you can help us with any publicity through your media to reach our goal.
Please find some photos below to give you a feel, if you wish to hear more please contact us ASAP, as we are getting lots of other media contacts wanted to cover us. However it would be a dream to work closely with you.
